43rd Mining Company on Germanson Creek
Letter book containing copies of outgoing correspondence written by Smith Sterling during the Omenica Gold Rush, found in the 43rd Mining Company warehouse on Germanson Creek. The collection also contains playing cards and poker chips found on the warehouse table, when Robert Craig McCorkell took down the building in the 1920s to make way for renewed mining operations. The John Boyd Estate Records 2008.28.0 are business transactions including cash deposits, bills of sale, trader and liquor licenses, accounting records on sale of property and a minute book of the Big Bonanza Mining Co. Two notable companies that came up several times in the documents were Beaver Pass Lumber Co. and Cascades Spruce Mills Ltd.

Pacific Great Eastern Railway Guestbook
Cariboo Pioneers were invited to ride on the first PGE train to travel from Quesnel to Prince George, November 1, 1952. The Cariboo Historical Society collected the signatures of all participants with the date of their arrival or their role on the trip ( ie railway officials and employees, press, band members). Quesnel Sheet Including Lillooet and Cariboo is a color coded map by the British Columbia Department of Lands, titled Quesnel Sheet. It shows from Cinema down almost to Riske Creek in the Quesnel Land Recording District on the far left and from Riske Creek down to Indian Reserve No. 3 at Canoe Creek, which is a little east of the Gang Ranch in the Lillooet Land Recording District. It also shows from the Bowron Lakes on the far right down to Murphy Lake and then from Lang Lake down to Sheridan Lake, just south and east of Horse Lake in the Lillooet District. There is a reference for the map coding, natural resources reference, notes in 5 points and Provincial Mineralogist's statements in boxes around the map. The blank portions of the pages were used for accounts for the Big Bonanza Mining Company in 1891 & 1895. Wildlife Suitability of the Mackenzie-Heritage Trail Corridor map series show the wildlife suitability of the habitat units within the heritage trail which follows the route taken by Sir Alexander Mackenzie in 1793. The corridor is located along the Blackwater river on the Fraser Plateau in the central interior of British Columbia between latitude 52 degrees 45' and 53 degrees 30' and longitude 123 degrees and 126 degrees.
